| Austin Newcomers is a non-profit social and recreational group established to welcome newcomers to Austin and connect them with others new to our city. We are over 550 member-households strong and are celebrating our 57th anniversary. The Austin Chronicle has named our Club as the "Best Way to Get Acquainted With the Best of Austin." The club is not church affiliated. The club fosters an environment for moms to support one another, gain new friendships, engage in adult conversation, enjoy social time and hear from speakers who can provide expertise in child, family, and personal growth issues. | The Round Rock New Neighbors club was organized in September 1978. We are a non-profit group of women from Round Rock and surrounding areas including Georgetown, Pflugerville, Hutto, Cedar Park, and North Austin. We welcome newcomers and long-term residents. Our goals are to provide an opportunity for friendships and to promote various activities through which we can become better acquainted with the social and civic opportunities our community has to offer. Our monthly program luncheon meeting is held on the second Wednesday from September to May. In the summer we have a monthly summer coffee hosted by one of our members. We have over 20 interest groups including arts & crafts, book discussions, bridge, bunco, canasta, day trips, dining out, dominos, mah jongg, hiking, movies, and volunteer opportunities. | ||
